Co-designing Skatteguiden
A project striving to include relevant stakeholders in a design process end-to-end
Brief
A co-design project investigating trust and communication through a co-design process with Skatteguiden
Through the active involvement of two stakeholder groups a Figma + physical prototype is created in order to improve existing user flows
Responsible for recruitment, research, interviews, workshop facilitation, hosting, and prototyping
Task
In an effort to gain familiarity with the recognized design approach known as co-design, we reached out to Skatteguiden, a Danish FinTech startup looking to make taxes exciting. Through interviews with management and its legal and design teams, we worked out areas of opportunity to improve on Skatteguidens app. Through several rounds of hosting workshops with new and dedicated users establishing a common language surrounding issues and structured around the Tell-Make-Enact framework, we designed a strong final concept for presentation.
Solution
Our solution consists of two concepts. Concept 1 expands on the Skatteguidens support tab and includes a selection of video guides answering the most frequently asked questions in a more human and personal way than previous. Videos are sorted based on community feedback and also work as a vanguard to lessen the burden currently placed on Chat Support. Concept 2 is a learning platform that gamifies the process of learning about taxes. It includes quizzes, puzzles, and more. The latter concept was developed live at the final workshop using physical cardboard cutouts representing app screens.
